CJ Style came about one day in Nashville, Tennessee when my family and I were out to dinner. I was talking with my mom about the need for little boys and girls to have positive role models. Often you see professional athletes saying they do not want the responsibility anymore, so I thought why not have kids inspiring other kids? What is better than words of encouragement and hope from your own peers, and someone closer to your own age?
This is the basis of the concept we formed for the first promotional t-shirts in the CJ style line, “The Talking Tees.” These t-shirts inspire kids to think positively and to believe in themselves. What we say to our children is how they view themselves. How we speak to them is also how they will speak to one another. These t-shirts will be a constant reminder that no matter what, each one of them is created greatly and with the power to make a difference in somebody else’s life. It also shows that all kids have different abilities and talents which makes them unique.
This is only the beginning for this new and exciting line. With CJ currently working on movies and national commercials, he is able to promote his line world wide. How wonderful is this for kids around the world to have something promote a positive message? How great would it be if kids began working together and encouraging other kids? These kids will soon learn that they are in it together. Our kids have enough negativity out there so now it is time to uplift them with something positive, hip, and fun, all at the same time. The words spoken to a child have an everlasting effect.
CJ Style will soon come out with jerseys for boys and girls, Jeans, shirts, cologne, plaques, and a magazine. This magazine will feature fashion and sports. CJ is putting together his contacts with the NFL world and the acting world to share with his peers. The magazine will interview celebrities about their struggles, how they eventually overcame these struggles to become successful, and some of their own fashion tips.
